Our team conducted a comprehensive legal, policy, and institutional review for the artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) sector in Zambia. This project, commissioned by the Artisanal Gold Council and the Zambia Environmental Agency under the planetGOLD Project, aimed at developing a formalisation framework to eliminate mercury use in gold mining processes, promoting safer and more sustainable practices.
